250 to 500 new jobs by Wurth International – architecture of new group location is defined
The architectural competition for the new Wurth premises in Rorschach near St.Gallen is decided. The group has presented the result these days.
Twelve nationally and internationally renowned architecture firms have participated at the private study. The presented projects have been preevaluated by an expert jury and the leading exponents of the company, the city and the canton then have chosen the winner. The Swiss architects Gigon/Guyer with their project LICHTSPIEL (moving picture) have won the competition.
In September 2008 the Wurth-Group announced its investment in Rorschach. In February 2009 the eligible voters of the city of Rorschach have confirmed with a huge majority that the land can be sold to Wurth. The company plans to establish a representative administrative building with congress and trainings facilities. The project provides 250 to 500 new workplaces which will be established over the next 10 to 15 years.
